Agadez feels like a transcendence to a desert-like escape. Nestled in the heart of Madrid’s Lista neighborhood, guests can peruse the many art galleries in the area or indulge in a Spanish tapas tour with Lista’s many refined offerings. Back inside the home, Agadez invites guests to enjoy all 100 square meters of its artful design and unique spaces. This three-bedroom, two-bath is a Spanish-Saharan oasis.
Golden, jute elements fill the entryway while the slate-colored doors ahead remind guests of its modern, Madrid roots. To the left of the entrance is the first bedroom, clothed in elegance and an arid feel. Built-in closets line the front wall while creamy textiles cover the queen-sized bed.
Just across from the first bedroom is the second hallway. Down this hall, the detached bathroom sits to the right. Sandy hues fill the space and carry into the walk-in shower with assorted tiling continuing the desert theme.
Further down the hall to the left is Agadez’s second bedroom. The sunbaked space honors its Saharan inspiration with mahogany-colored closets lining the far wall. Celosia detailing doubles as a headboard framing the queen-sized bed. In front of the bed lies a spacious, dedicated workstation.
Across the hallway is a detached, half-bath that reflects the same dreamy hues from the first bathroom.
At the end of the hallway is Agadez’s kitchen. Blending mineral tones of slate and sand, the space feels perfectly on theme. Modern appliances and full functionality comprise the left of the kitchen while a cozy, breakfast bar sits adjacent.
Back through the main hall, the space opens up to a stunning living and dining room. Blending bench and stand-alone seating, the dining area is perfectly fit for a dinner party of three or seven. An oriental rug draws attention and invites guests to step further into the space to enjoy the living area. Designer furnishings and a full entertainment system define the salon’s vibrant feel, while the interior balcony at the far end, fit with desert greenery and plush seating, invites guests to relax and unwind.
The french doors at the far end of the living area open up to a multipurpose room. A terracotta-colored accent wall highlights the stylish daybed. The home’s second dedicated workstation is in the right-hand corner.
