The Berlin in Florence Room is situated in the Strange Uncle Hostel on the first floor of a quiet and characteristic street downtown Florence. The building from the 1700s is in the San Lorenzo area, 3 minutes walking from the Duomo. It's very calm, because the room's window faces a private courtyard and it has a unique Berlin influenced style. Kitchen, dining area, bathroom and private courtyard are shared with one more guest. The position of the apartment is fantastic: in the heart of Florence, 3 minutes walking to the duomo.
The kitchen and dining area invite our guests to cook and have meals, getting the chance to meet other people.
There is free WiFi in the entire apartment.
The highlight is the private courtyard where you can hang out, relax and smoke.
Breakfast with great cappuccino and pastry, panino, juice, fresh fruit and egg can be added for 7 euros per person!
IMPORTANT:
From 22.01.2024, our building is being renovated. We are getting a new roof and new external isolation. So, the courtyard is not as beautiful at the moment and there is almost no sunlight in your bedroom. Sorry for the inconvenience. We hope it's finished soon!
Our guests will get the keys to their bedroom as well as to the Strange Uncle Hostel to get in and out whenever they want.
Meet other travelers in the kitchen/dining area or in the private courtyard and play some board games!
The fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom with big shower and private courtyard are shared with one single bedroom.
You can add a nice breakfast for 7 euros per person!
At the moment, there are construction works at our building, because we are getting a new rooftop and new outside walls, so the courtyard won't be as nice as usual. We are sorry for the inconvenience and hope the work Will be done soon.
We live at a 5 minute walk from the Hostel, so we can be there quickly if you need us. We like to share a drink with our guests :)
The Strange Uncle Hostel is situated in a calm residential area, very close to all main attractions: 3 minutes walking to the duomo and to the central food market. There is a supermarket in our parallel street and you are surrounded by typical Tuscan trattorias, restaurants and nice bars.
No public transportation needed, you can walk everywhere :)

We offer wine tours with our private driver Alberto. The wine tour goes to the oldest wine castle in Tuscany, where you can enjoy a stunning view over the Chianti area. It includes homemade Tuscan starters, several wines, homemade balsamic vinegar tasting and a guided tour in the 1000 year old wine cellars, where you learn how the Chianti Classico wine is made and stored.
Afterwards, Alberto brings you to Greve in Chianti, a medieval town with the famous butcher Falorni.
It's 3.5 hours in total and it's 60 euros per person, all included.
