Hale Mahina Resort does not have air conditioning. Each room has ceiling fans and benefits from the natural trade-wind breezes. Jalousie windows allow for excellent cross-ventilation throughout.
PEST CONTROL AND ROOSTERS: Due to Maui’s rural location you may experience the occasional rooster or harmless gecko. Geckos are friendly, eat insects, and are considered good luck in Hawaiʻi. Please don’t kill them. The HOA schedules regular pest control, but some insects and lizards are part of island life. Our units are meticulously cleaned and inspected. Contact us if you experience more than normal pest activity — we’ll work with the HOA to help. These occurrences do not constitute a refund or rental adjustment.
HAWAIʻI CLIMATE: Hawaiʻi’s tropical environment supports a variety of island wildlife including geckos, ants & occasional roosters. Despite regular pest control, these are part of normal island living. Our units are carefully cleaned and inspected, and any contact with such pests does not constitute a breach of agreement or qualify for refund or adjustment.
